Gregg Braden is an American author and educator who works at the meeting point of science and spirituality. Before writing full-time he spent the 1970s and 1980s as a computer geologist for Phillips Petroleum and a senior computer systems designer for Martin Marietta, and in 1991 became the first technical operations manager at Cisco Systems.
Braden draws connections between modern science — physics, genetics, earth science — and ancient texts, indigenous traditions, and spiritual teachings, arguing they point toward a shared picture of human potential.
He is a five-time New York Times bestselling author whose twelve books, among them The God Code and The Divine Matrix, have been translated into more than forty languages. Watkins Journal has listed him among its hundred "most spiritually influential living people."
His formal training is in geology and computer systems, not the biology or physics his books often range into, and some of his interpretations are contested by mainstream researchers. Maybe presents his ideas for you to weigh.
On Maybe since 2026.
